The aim of Promogaia is to inform people about the most characteristic and less explored places of the extremely beautiful Amerino district which is usually never included in classical tour itineraries. The habitats in this zone, from the Mediterranean scrubland to the lakes and the fauna oasis, and still on to the river parks and archeological and artistic places, are essentially unsullied. This kind of tourism concerns the "small urban centres" where one can be happily and unusually surprised by shows of art-works, nature and local cooking. Rustic rural cooking fully exploits the good staple crops of the land; the boroughs, the abbeys and the hermitages are still surrounded by that unaltered magical atmosphere present during the times of the 'founding fathers', who, like St. Francis, had chosen these places for their beauty and particular features. Nature is predominant everywhere and Umbria itself expresses its own profound presence. The visitor 'becomes part' of the attractive scenery during the whole unforgettable stay: the valleys, the woods, the mountains and the mellow hills.
