Promogaia, a small cooperative, is working to re-define "small urban centre" tourism by the creation and marketing of a particular tourist service, including notable, unexplored historical and artistic habitats and also one of the most beautiful, natural and traditional glimpses of the whole region; indeed, popular traditions in local cooking are still present. This cooperative collaborates with local municipalities and provincial government offices in carrying out territorial promotion campaigns, co-ordination and utilization of private resources for tourist development projects. This cooperative is also the point of reference for tourists who would like to know more about existing reception and entertainment facilities, thus it is able to give advice, suggestions and documentation on the various territorial facilities available.

 

Editing and publication of information brochures
on hotels, restaurants, agricultural/tourist facilities, hostels, sporting centres, congress centres, publication of maps, itinerary guide-books and tourist guide-books.

Information service
A 'virtual information desk' is able to supply up-dated information in real time and publish events regarding local Umbrian feasts, historical commemoration events, medieval horse-races and jousts that all represent the various passages of historical periods in these territories. Promogaia has its head office in an ancient medieval tower in Largo Angelucci in Montecastrilli and here it directly gives information to tourists on good quality agricultural/tourist facilities,country-houses, hostels, hotels, bed&breakfast facilities and restaurants.

Territorial promotion
The cooperative carries out promotional marketing services such as: planning and administration of cultural and entertainment events, partecipation in national and foreign tourist grant programmes and the creation of summer camps and itineraries for youngsters to allow them to gain knowledge on the environment that surrounds them.

Tourist services
Promogaia can arrange transfer of tourists, group assistance, itineraries, guide services, hostesses, etc. for successful tours and the complete utilization of territorial facilities. Promogaia also guarantees professional organization of meetings, conventions, exhibitions and fairs and various types of events.
